{"id":705703,"date":"2026-01-19T05:06:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T05:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/705703\/"},"modified":"2026-01-19T05:06:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T05:06:12","slug":"nottingham-forest-in-talks-to-sign-player-who-disobeyed-his-manager-last-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/705703\/","title":{"rendered":"Nottingham Forest in talks to sign player who disobeyed his manager last season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Nottingham Forest are on the lookout for new players to come in and bolster the options available to Sean Dyche. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Reds are desperate to land a new striker and have been linked with a host of players since the window opened. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nottinghamforest.news\/2026\/01\/14\/nottingham-forest-set-to-prioritise-one-striker-over-jorgen-strand-larsen-in-january\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forest have been linked with Mehdi Taremi<\/a> from Olympiacos, although it seems as though there are a number of players on the shortlist of the football club. <\/p>\n<p>It seems as though things are ramping up on the recruitment front following Saturday\u2019s 0-0 draw with Arsenal, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nottinghamforest.news\/tag\/nottingham-forest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forest<\/a> now in talks to sign a Serie A striker before next weekend. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/GettyImages-2256176937-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche\" class=\"wp-image-97673\" \/>Photo by JUSTIN TALLIS \/ AFP via Getty ImagesNottingham Forest enter talks for Lorenzo Lucca<\/p>\n<p>According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest are in talks with Napoli over a loan deal for the striker, with \u00a31 million being paid in the way of a loan fee and the Reds holding an option to buy him for \u00a330 million in the summer. <\/p>\n<p>Lucca has struggled this season, scoring once in 16 games for Napoli, and quite clearly, the reigning champions are willing to cash in on the player. <\/p>\n<p>Last season, the 25-year-old enjoyed a standout campaign at Udinese, scoring 14 goals and registering two assists, with 10 yellow cards also coming his way. <\/p>\n<p>Lucca is now mulling over a move to the Premier League, with Forest moving first to land the player who has previously been linked with Everton and Crystal Palace. <\/p>\n<p>          How many goals will Lorenzo Lucca score this season if Nottingham Forest sign him? <\/p>\n<p class=\"grv-talking-point__subtitle\">Let us know in the comments below\u2026<\/p>\n<p> \ud83d\udc47 Join the debate; share your insight.
