Widely regarded as a highlight of the global ballet scene, the Gala brings together exceptional dancers and visionary choreographers from the world\u2019s ten leading companies including: The Royal Ballet (UK); La Scala Ballet (Italy); American Ballet Theatre (USA); Paris Opera Ballet (France); Berlin State Ballet (Germany); Vienna State Ballet \/ Vienna Ballet Theatre (Austria); Dutch National Ballet (Netherlands); English National Ballet (UK); Northern Ballet (UK) and Bavarian State Ballet (Germany).<\/p>\n<p>Marianela Nu\u0301n\u0303ez and William Bracewell in The Sleeping Beauty<\/p>\n<p>Jack Devant <\/p>\n<p>This milestone edition will be performed with the English National Ballet Philharmonic Orchestra. The exciting programme will span classical repertoire and contemporary works, featuring world premieres and specially commissioned pieces created exclusively to honor this landmark year. Among the highlights will be performances from Royal Ballet dancers Francesca Hayward, Natalia Osipova and Marianela N\u00fa\u00f1ez; Daniil Simkin (Berlin State Ballet) known for his breathtaking jumps); and Isaac Hern\u00e1ndez (American Ballet Theatre).<\/p>\n<p>Cirque du Soleil\u2019s Ovo, Royal Albert Hall\u2013Until 1 March<\/p>\n<p>Ovo, Cirque du Soleil<\/p>\n<p>Cirque du Soleil<\/p>\n<p>The legendary French Canadian circus\u2019s annual show at London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall is a vibrant, high-energy tribute to the world of insects. As always the atheticism and artistry on display is spectacular from bold aerial stunts and acrobatics, Chinese poles, a trampoline wall, incredible contortion, foot juggling, and cradle and slackwire. Winner of Best Animation at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, among the film\u2019s many other accolades are nominations for Best Animation at the Golden Globe Awards and Best Animated Film and Best Children\u2019s &amp; Family Film at BAFTA. <\/p>\n<p>Upstairs at Ronnie\u2019s\u2013Opening 6 February<\/p>\n<p>Upstairs at Ronnies, a new London jazz venue<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie Scott&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>One of the world\u2019s most famous jazz clubs, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronniescotts.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ronniescotts.co.uk\/\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.ronniescotts.co.uk\/\" aria-label=\"Ronnie Scott\u2019s\">Ronnie Scott\u2019s<\/a> is to open a brand new first-floor, 140-capacity music venue \u201cUpstairs at Ronnie\u2019s.\u201d Formerly used for afterhours gigs and dancing, the new space will feature jazz, alongside contemporary soul, acoustic R&amp;B, gospel, hip-hop, global music, and for the first time, classical music. The space has been completedly overhauled as a purpose-designed, intimate auditorium, with a striking new interior, enhanced acoustics, high-spec Yamaha and D&amp;B Audio sound and lighting systems, an upgraded stage, a Yamaha S3X Grand Piano, and a brand-new state-of-the-art kitchen.
