Zack Snyder<\/a><\/strong> recently shared a previously unseen photo of<\/strong> Jason Momoa\u2019s<\/a> Aquaman<\/strong>. The sea-based superhero debuted in 2016\u2019s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice<\/a> in a cameo role. He later reappeared in 2017\u2019s Justice League<\/a> and its director\u2019s cut<\/strong>, where he played a major part in stopping Steppenwolf\u2019s invasion. Following this, the character starred in his solo adventures, Aquaman<\/a> and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom<\/a>, and also appeared briefly in Peacemaker<\/a> and The Flash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The veteran filmmaker recently posted two photos on social media. One of the photos shared shows Jason Momoa in his Aquaman attire on the set of Justice League. He holds a guitar while maintaining a composed yet somewhat gruff facial expression.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the other photo shows Ezra Miller<\/a>, wearing his Flash costume. He stands near and looks at an enlarged picture of Margot Robbie\u2019s<\/a> Harley Quinn. \u201c2 more from 2016,\u201d Zack Snyder captioned the Instagram post.<\/p>\n

Out of the six main cast members who appeared in Justice League and Snyder\u2019s cut of the film, Momoa is the only one who has a bright future ahead of him in DC films. He has been cast in James Gunn\u2019s<\/a> DC Universe as the Czarnian mercenary and bounty hunter, Lobo.<\/p>\n

Momoa\u2019s Lobo will debut in Supergirl<\/a>, premiering in theaters on June 26, 2026. In the film, Lobo will serve as one of the major antagonists alongside Matthias Schoenaerts\u2019 Krem of the Yellow Hills.<\/p>\n

Before his casting as Lobo, Jason Momoa expressed a strong desire to take on the role several times previously. His interest in the role was so strong to the point that he admitted in a Fandango<\/a> interview while promoting Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom that he initially thought he would be playing Lobo in the DC Extended Universe before being cast as Aquaman.<\/p>\n

Moreover, in a recent interview, Momoa revealed<\/a> he \u201cwanted to play [Lobo] more than Aquaman,\u201d calling the role the \u201cultimate dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of writing, it\u2019s unclear where Jason Momoa\u2019s Lobo will show up in the DCU following his appearance in Supergirl. However, based on his fascination with the character and Gunn\u2019s admiration of the portrayal, as mentioned in the latter\u2019s Instagram<\/a> post, there is a possibility for a solo project later down the line.<\/p>\n
