A burst water main has sparked flooding chaos in west London and cut supply to thousands of homes.<\/p>\n

Residents had to be rescued by dinghy overnight from parts of Holland Park as cars were submerged in water.<\/p>\n

Thousands have had their water supply<\/a> disrupted by a burst pipe next to Holland Park<\/a> roundabout.<\/p>\n

Thames Water<\/a> said on Wednesday morning that properties in numerous postcodes may be suffering from low water pressure or no water.<\/p>\n

They are W1H, W4, W6, W8, W11, W12, W13 and W14, according to the update posted on its website at 6.55am.<\/p>\n

The statement reads: \u201cWe are aware of a burst water pipe by Holland Park roundabout, W11.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur team are on site and have stopped the water flooding in the area. We are working with the fire services and police to keep everyone safe. Traffic controls are also in place to protect the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour tap water should now be returning, it may be at a lower pressure initially, but this will improve as it increases in the pipes.\u201d<\/p>\n

One resident in Shepherd\u2019s Bush said: \u201cI could hardly get a shower this morning. There was just a dribble. The guy at the bus stop said he couldn\u2019t even flush his toilet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the affected areas are Holland Park, which is home to a slew of celebrities including David and Victoria Beckham<\/a>, Robbie Williams and Jimmy Page.<\/p>\n

It is among London\u2019s most expensive postcodes, with an average property selling price of \u00a31.4million in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a message on the social media platform X, Kensington and Chelsea council said the burst main has caused flooding and road closures.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur staff are on site supporting families with housing needs, and preparing for a clean up effort once the water recedes,\u201d it says.<\/p>\n

Thames Water is asking residents affected by flooding to call call 0800 316 9800 for support.<\/p>\n
