{"id":710591,"date":"2026-01-21T10:09:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T10:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/710591\/"},"modified":"2026-01-21T10:09:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T10:09:09","slug":"call-for-applications-african-women-entrepreneurship-cooperative-awec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/710591\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications: African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative is an innovative, 12-month leadership and business management capacity-building program that accepts 200 female entrepreneurs annually. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weareawec.org\/apply\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.weareawec.org\/apply<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Business Opportunities Listing<\/p>\n<p>During the two-week application period, AWEC receives an average of more than 2,000 applications for just 200 program spots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>African country of origin<\/li>\n<li>A for-profit business owner in operation of a minimum 2 years in any industry with at least 2 employees, full-time or part-time\n<ul>\n<li>You must be the only one in your business applying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Or aspiring entrepreneur with a business plan who has not yet launched<\/li>\n<li>Access to a reliable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for video calls over the 12-month period<\/li>\n<li>Professional working proficiency in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>1. Familiarize yourself with the program you are applying for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">What does the program offer? How does this align with your goals?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">How does this program align with your learning style AND your availability?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">What does \u201csuccess\u201d look like in the program? How does this align with your vision for success?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>2. Ensure that you meet the applicant criteria.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>3. Review the application questions as early as possible:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>4. Start early. Don\u2019t wait till the last minute!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>5. Be clear and concise: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>6. Know your numbers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Revenue, employees, customers, capital \u2013 what data is the application asking for? If you need to approximate, do so via informed guesses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>7.
