\n Temporary works are in place on Leeds Road in Harrogate.<\/p>\n

\n Northern Powergrid has provided an update after ongoing issues affecting the traffic lights at the Leeds Road crossroads in Harrogate.\n <\/p>\n

Drivers have reported disruption in the area as a result of the fault, which has led to congestion at busy times.<\/p>\n

Engineers have been investigating the problem, which relates to a faulty electricity supply feeding the traffic signal equipment.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Northern Powergrid said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re aware of a fault on the traffic lights at the Leeds Road crossroad in Harrogate.<\/p>\n

“We are planning excavation work this week to repair the faulty service.<\/p>\n

\u201cShould the fault continue, we have contingency plans in place to connect a generator to power the lights and we\u2019re arranging suitable parking arrangements for the generator, should this be required.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Northern Powergrid has not confirmed how long the repair work is expected to take – but has advised that further updates will be provided if the situation changes.<\/p>\n
