The family of a 22-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash on a major road have paid tribute to the “gentle giant”. Alfie Copeland lost his life in a collision with a van on Saturday on the A487 Cardigan bypass in Ceredigion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mr Copeland’s family said: \u201cAlfie was bright, happy, hilarious, adventurous, ambitious, kind and a gentle giant.<\/p>\n

“He had a bright future and so many plans. We will never stop missing him, always in our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called just after 1.05pm to a report of a collision involving a Yamaha YZF R7 motorbike and a Volkswagen Transporter van on the A487 northbound, near the junction of Caemorgan Road.<\/p>\n

“The rider of the motorbike was airlifted to hospital where he sadly died of his injuries. No other injuries were reported.”<\/p>\n

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.<\/p>\n

“Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash-cam footage that could support their investigation,” said the spokeswoman.<\/p>\n
