Leeds United are still scrapping for their place in the Premier League, but Daniel Farke’s side revealed their schedule may be about to change<\/p>\n

Leeds United’s home clash against Brentford could be moved to cater for football fans who want to watch Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke’s<\/a> side may still be celebrating a precious 1-0 victory against Fulham<\/a>, which came straight after their disappointing 4-3 away loss to Newcastle United<\/a>. Every point is gold dust as they continue their battle to remain in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

However, on that subject, one of their key face-offs could soon be re-scheduled to a different date or time. Premier League fixture changes are not unusual as they normally cater for teams who have a match in a different competition scheduled on the same day or within a short period of time.<\/p>\n

In this instance, neither Leeds nor Brentford, who are currently set to face each other at 8pm on Saturday March 21, are the ones who could force the change. That would instead be Liverpool, who are currently slated to take on Brighton at 12:30pm the same day.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot’s side are still in the Champions League and have secured at least a play-off berth. It’s this fact which may force the Whites’ home clash against Brentford to be scheduled for another time.<\/p>\n

Liverpool’s Champions League or Carabao Cup final participation could impact kick-off times for other clubs on March 21. If they are away in the Champions League in the midweek leading up to the clash against Brighton, they will take the 8pm kick-off slot that day.<\/p>\n

On the Premier League website, it says the game “could move to 12:30 or 17:30…dependent upon other clubs in EFL Cup Final and UCL (Champions League). To be confirmed by 2 March.”<\/p>\n

The Premier League expanded on this by writing: “Changes have been announced for the Premier League’s March schedule – Match-weeks 29-31, as a result of live TV broadcast selections in the UK and clubs’ fixtures in the UEFA Champions League (UCL), UEFA Europa League (UEL) and UEFA Conference League (UCoL).”<\/p>\n

A 12.30pm kick off would not affect Leeds too much, but it would be a huge issue for Brentford supporters, who already face a 200 mile plus journey from west London to Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Farke described the victory over Fulham as Leeds’ best” win of the Premier League campaign so far. He said: “Best game because today we faced a really in form Fulham side.<\/p>\n

“We fully deserved this win. We missed several chances and kept going until the end. First clean sheet at home since August I think. We lost first fixture in similar way.<\/p>\n

Before Farke can even look to the home match against Brentford in just over two months time, he has more pressing battles ahead. There are nine matches between now and the game versus the Bees.<\/p>\n
