{"id":71200,"date":"2025-05-03T13:02:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-03T13:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/71200\/"},"modified":"2025-05-03T13:02:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-03T13:02:09","slug":"third-bristol-beacon-show-for-self-esteem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/71200\/","title":{"rendered":"Third Bristol Beacon show for Self Esteem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>13:57, 03 May 2025Updated 13:58, 03 May 2025<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/0_SE_YVN_24.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Self Esteem AKA Rebecca Lucy Taylor<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Self Esteem has announced a third show at Bristol Beacon later this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She will now perform at the city venue on October, 3, 4 and 5, with support coming from Nadine Shah and Moonchild Sanelly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The announcement comes after a series of well-reviewed shows at Duke of York&#8217;s Theatre in London in April.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Rebecca Lucy Taylor, AKA Self Esteem emerged from cult favourite status to mainstream star following the huge success of her 2021 single \u2018I Do This All The Time\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">An acclaimed second album Prioritise Pleasure quickly followed, tackling the &#8216;hypocrisies and joys found in her experiences of modern day womanhood across dating, friendship, comparison culture, self love, women\u2019s safety and sexual assault and much more&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Prioritise Pleasure received Mercury Prize, BRIT Award, Sky Arts and NME Award nominations, was crowned The Guardian and Sunday Times Culture\u2019s Album of the Year, and \u2018I Do This All The Time\u2019 was also named The Guardian\u2019s #1 song of 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Before finding success as Self Esteem, Taylor spent a decade as one half of indie duo Slow Club before adopting the pop star persona she\u2019d always dreamed of.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She released her first Self Esteem album Compliments Please in 2019, featuring fan favourite singles \u2018The Best\u2019, \u2018Girl Crush\u2019 and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Taylor has appeared on The Graham Norton Show, Celebrity Gogglebox, Friday Night Live, performed three times on Jools Holland including the NYE Hootenanny, graced the covers of magazines from Grazia to NME to Sunday Times Style, and is one of a handful of artists to have been playliste across <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/bbc\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a> Radio 1, 2 and 6 Music simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Branching out into the world of acting, Taylor starred in a regular role in the Sky series Smothered , before completing a run playing Sally Bowles in the multiple Olivier Award-winning production of &#8216;Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club&#8217;
