Police have arrested<\/a> and charged a 43-year-old following a number of calls about a man in a “state of undress” near a busy West Lothian road.<\/p>\n

Locals in Bathgate reported the incidents<\/a> on Tuesday, January 20. Officers attended at the Edinburgh Road area of the town and detained the man.<\/p>\n

He was later charged in connection with a report of public indecency, and appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday, January 21.<\/p>\n

A post on social media from Police Scotland read: “We are aware of several reports from members of the public about a male in a state of undress in the Edinburgh Road area of Bathgate on 20 January 2026.<\/p>\n

“We can confirm that officers attended at the time and arrested a 43-year-old male. He was subsequently charged and held in custody to appear at court.<\/p>\n

Sergeant Lee Brodie said: \u201cWe would like to thank the public for reporting this matter to us.<\/p>\n
