\t\t\t\tDronfield-based financial planners, Belmayne, have handed over \u00a38,000 to two local charities, following another successful year of fundraising.<\/p>\n
The independent firm has split the money equally between the 3rd Holmesfield Scout Group and Just Good Friends Club, donating \u00a34,000 to both, courtesy of its Belmayne Foundation.<\/p>\n
Each year, the firm pledges to support two registered charities who focus on health and wellbeing and provide relief to those in need. This latest donation takes the total raised by the Belmayne Foundation to more than \u00a358,000 since its inception in 2019.<\/p>\n
Jane Deakin, group leader of the 3rd Holmesfield Scouts, said:<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe were delighted to receive Belmayne\u2019s support last year, after they found out about our campaign to build a new headquarters and community facility in Dronfield. The activity space is now operational and the firm\u2019s donation will enable us to better equip it for the 110-plus children and young people who use it regularly. We are very grateful to the partners and staff who have worked so hard to raise the money.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The funds will be used by the Just Good Friends Club to run a new caf\u00e9 at the old Whitwell Station, which it has adopted as its base. The group provides a safe and friendly environment for adults with learning disabilities to enjoy both evening and daytime social events.<\/p>\n
This year, the Belmayne Foundation is joining forces with St Luke\u2019s Hospice in Sheffield and Sheffield Parent Carer Forum. Partner, Ben Smalley, who coordinates the firm\u2019s charitable activities, added:<\/p>\n
