Leeds United<\/a> manager Daniel Farke has some very positive selection dilemmas to mull over as the Whites prepare to take on Everton on Monday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 25 points after 22 games<\/a> leaves us in a great position to kick on and stay in the Premier League. Up next is a tricky away game at Everton<\/a>, looking to improve our away form and clear a bigger gap to the sides behind us.<\/p>\n

Ahead of a trip to Merseyside, Daniel Farke<\/a> will be mulling over key selection decisions across the pitch.<\/p>\n

Leeds United team news pre-Everton: Gabriel Gudmundsson doubt, Anton Stach back in training, Dan James not far away<\/p>\n

There was more positive than negative team news in Farke\u2019s pre-match press conference<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Starting with the concerns, Gabriel Gudmundsson<\/a> has picked up an adductor issue that forced him to sit out of team training on Thursday. It leaves him a doubt for Monday night\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

As for positive news, Anton Stach<\/a> has returned to team training after his recent absence, and could therefore be available against the Toffees. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Dan James<\/a> is working back into segments of team training with Farke reluctant to rush the winger back too soon. Jaka Bijol<\/a>, also, still remains absent after his recent setback. <\/p>\n

The Leeds boss confirmed he\u2019s two-to-three weeks off being back in full training, looking to be ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

We\u2019re yet to see new signing Facundo Buonanotte<\/a> feature. It\u2019s hardly a surprise, given that he joined just before we played Fulham, needing time to settle into the new environment.<\/p>\n

However, Farke will know what he\u2019s getting from the Argentine<\/a>. He wasn\u2019t a panic loan signing, Leeds wanted him in the summer<\/a> and had him as a key profile to secure from the start of August.<\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of Monday\u2019s trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Farke noted Buonanotte\u2019s strong impression at Thorp Arch.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will give him time, I don\u2019t want to calm the excitement of a new signing but for us, we\u2019re also able to bring him in a relaxed mode,\u201d Farke said, per the YEP<\/a>. \u201cVery exciting player with lots of potential but not played much football recently. We are convinced of his skills and will give him the platform. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe gets all the backing and support to bring himself back to a top fitness level. Difficult to be at your best in terms of confidence when you haven\u2019t played much. Up to him if he uses this platform. So far presented like we expected, really nice guy, good character good commitment, very skilful. He is in the challenging position and needs to earn a spot on the pitch, it\u2019s up to him to show this but he\u2019s doing well.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery young and talented player, you don\u2019t earn caps for Argentina otherwise. Very skilful with a special bit of creativity. Unbelievable left foot, really good with his position between the lines, ability to be really quick in his head, capable to be there with a final pass or score goals. Set pieces can be outstanding. Many reasons we wanted him because he has several skills we were missing. Tempted not to praise him too much, also challenges, last months he has not played much football. I back him, he\u2019ll feel our support but it\u2019s up to him to deliver. He has to overtake those who have done so well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke could unleash Facundo Buonanotte as Leeds United face Everton on Monday<\/p>\n

Again, Farke has given a really balanced response on Buonanotte\u2019s prospects here.<\/p>\n

On the one hand, Farke is realistic that it\u2019ll take some time to get Buonanotte to his peak form. It\u2019s worth remembering how he chose to spend the first half of the season on Chelsea\u2019s bench<\/a>. So, he won\u2019t be at 100% sharpness.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Farke is well aware of what Buonanotte could bring to Elland Road. His left foot is brilliant. And, he adds a level of creativity we\u2019ve not had since arriving in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Rightly, he\u2019s not going to walk into this starting lineup that is playing so well in the meantime. However, to add that new dynamic could be game-changing for us converting good performances into wins on the road.<\/p>\n
