It\u2019s just meant for more casual users who still want a high-end experience. The simple fact is that not everyone needs the best of the best. I know I would be perfectly happy with the Google Pixel 9<\/a>.<\/p>\n At just $599, the Google Pixel 9 is quite the steal, and it checks all the most important boxes that make a high-end smartphone so enticing. The design is pretty much as good as its more expensive brothers, built with an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It still has a reliable IP68 rating<\/a>, so you won\u2019t need to worry about it being exposed to dust or liquids.<\/p>\n Furthermore, the Pixel 9 offers outstanding performance, thanks to the Google Tensor G4<\/a>, which is the same processor found in the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL<\/a>. It has 12GB of RAM, which is plenty for most people<\/a>. You really shouldn\u2019t notice a difference in performance compared to the higher-end Pixel 9 series phones unless you are really pushing it to its limits.<\/p>\n C. Not to mention, smaller screens don\u2019t always translate to a bad experience. This does mean battery life suffers a bit, but it is still pretty good, easily making it through a full day on a full charge, based on our testing. It can still charge at 27W, and we were able to take it from zero to 100% in 85 minutes.<\/p>\n Pixel devices have long been known for being great camera phones<\/a>, and the Pixel 9 is no exception. While the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL are better at this, the Pixel 9\u2019s two cameras do very well, and the phone takes really nice photos that easily beat most other more expensive phones.<\/p>\n As if so much goodness wasn\u2019t enough, Google is also known for its impressive update commitments<\/a>. The Google Pixel 9 gets a seven-year update promise, which means your device is guaranteed to get Android 21, or whatever Google calls it when it is released.<\/p>\n Google Pixel 9 Pro\n<\/p>\n Google Pixel 9 Pro<\/a> Google Pixel 9 Pro<\/p>\n All Pro, in a compact package.<\/p>\n The Google Pixel 9 Pro is the Pixel device many have been begging for for a long time: Google’s very best smartphone hardware and software features, in a more compact form factor. With identical dimensions to the regular Pixel 9, it retains the same great specs as the much larger XL model, plus 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, and the Tensor G4 chipset.<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t mind spending $200 more, the Google Pixel 9 Pro<\/a> goes for $799 and offers a pretty nice upgrade. It\u2019s likely the best option for most high-end users, striking a nice balance between capabilities and price. It\u2019s good if you feel the Pixel 9 isn\u2019t quite what you want, but you would also rather not spend a small fortune on the Pixel 9 Pro XL.<\/p>\n Of course, this is a higher-end device. It comes with the Same Google Tensor G4 processor, but the RAM gets upgraded to 16GB, making it a better multitasking machine. The screen is still 6.3 inches, but the screen definition is improved to 2,856 x 1,280, and the panel is upgraded to an LTPO OLED one. Battery life is still pretty good, especially considering this one can charge a little faster wirelessly, reaching wireless charging speeds of 21W instead of 15W. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL offers a 6.8-inch display, the biggest battery we’ve ever seen in a Pixel phone, and 37W wired charging. Otherwise, the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL share almost all other hardware and software features, giving users the option between display sizes with top hardware.<\/p>\n Now, if you really want a more premium experience, and a bulkier pocket, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL<\/a> is the top dog in this series. Performance will stay the same as the regular Pro, as it comes with the Google Tensor G4 and 16GB of RAM, too. That said, the experience will change because it has a much larger 6.8-inch screen. The LTPO OLED panel gets upgraded to a 2,992 x 1,344 resolution. It still has a 120Hz refresh rate.<\/p>\n C.
