United\u2019s primary focus this week has been to progress with a new striker signing. Jorgen Strand Larsen is the name Leeds are putting all the effort into right now<\/a>, with a formal \u00a330million bid<\/a> emerging on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

However, Daniel Farke\u2019s team news makes it seem quite apparent that Leeds could do with considering another position before the deadline too.<\/p>\n

\u201cDifferent options, not a natural option and for that, if there is a perfect option we won\u2019t fall asleep,\u201d Farke said, per the YEP<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we have James Justin who has played the same amount of games either side, Sam Byram has played a lot for us at left-back, Also a chance to position a more offensive player like we did with Willy Gnonto on the right. It depends on what is needed, which questions are asked during the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Reinildo\u2019s return from duty with Mozambique has dropped Cirkin back to the bench. And, with just six months left on his contract at the Stadium of Light, he may be wondering what the future holds.<\/p>\n

Regis Le Bris is sure to have another ambitious summer as Sunderland look for a top-half finish, and that would likely put Cirkin out of the picture. <\/p>\n

The 49ers have previous for targeting players with dwindling contracts<\/a>. Meanwhile, Cirkin\u2019s handful of appearances since returning from a long-term absence has proven that he can hold his own in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
