The Edinburgh Woollen Mill is closing its doors in Dereham, <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/2151922\/uk-seaside-town-pubs-great-yarmouth-norfolk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norfolk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The store now has large signs in the windows alerting customers that it is \u201c<a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/2161449\/major-high-street-retailer-closing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">closing down<\/a>\u201d and that \u201call stock must go\u201d. The signs also reveal why the Dereham branch is closing, with smaller writing reading: \u201cSubject to landlord negotiations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The branch opened in 2005 as one of the first stores in the town\u2019s shopping centre. The nearest branches are in Thetford, King\u2019s Lynn, and Great Yarmouth. It follows other brands closing stores in Dereham, including Wilko, CarpetRight, HomeBase, and <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/2121922\/whsmith-closes-19-shops-uk-high-street\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WHSmith<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This closure follows The Edinburgh Woollen Mill&#8217;s opening of new stores in Stratford-upon-Avon, Wrexham, Chirk, Perth, Wimbourne, Skipton, Woodbridge, and Ayr in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Edinburgh Woollen Mill is a British clothing retailer founded in 1946, based in Carlisle.
