Leeds United have won the Championship thanks to Manor Solomon\u2019s late winner against Plymouth Argyle but not everybody was in the mood for celebration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite his team winning in dramatic fashion Leeds manager Daniel Farke<\/a> was pictured sitting on the bench without a smile.<\/p>\n

This had led Leeds fans to speculate why Farke was alone on the bench away from celebrating.<\/p>\n

talkSPORT understands<\/a> that the plan was for the owners to review the managerial situation at the end of the season, but have been impressed by his ruthless decision to drop Illan Meslier for the run-in.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road following his appointment in 2023.<\/p>\n

He guided the club to the Championship play-off final last term before sealing promotion this time around.<\/p>\n

Most fans seemed to believe Farke was soaking in the moment which is very plausible considering the manner in which the Championship was won on the final day.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe could just be having a moment. Let\u2019s not overthink it,\u201d said one fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you\u2019re reaching with this one,\u201d another supporter posted. \u201cI mean we did just win this league in the 90th minute.I think he\u2019s just stunned.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alternatively some fans think this foreshadows Farke being sacked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully he\u2019s getting the sack and we stay up,\u201d read one comment.<\/p>\n

Another post said: \u201cHe\u2019s either having a moment as he\u2019s done it, or he knows what\u2019s coming.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is the third time Farke has been promoted to the Premier League<\/a> after doing so twice with Norwich.<\/p>\n

But both times Norwich was relegated after finishing 20th.<\/p>\n

One his second attempt in the top flight he was sacked in November 2021.<\/p>\n

Speaking after Leeds guaranteed promotion back to the Premier League last month, Gabby Abonglahor said<\/a>: \u201cI was thinking about it last night and Daniel Farke’s done a great job getting Leeds United<\/a> up.\u201d<\/p>\n

He won just one of his final 21 top flight fixtures before being dismissed in November 2021.<\/p>\n

Senior figures have jetted into Leeds from San Francisco to hold talks with Farke amid reports they have sounded out possible replacements.<\/p>\n

But in recent years it has become even harder to avoid immediate relegation as proven by all three promoted teams last season suffering relegation.<\/p>\n
