A DRIVER has been arrested following an alleged hit-and-run which left a woman in hospital.<\/p>\n

Cops raced to an address<\/a> in Castlemilk, Glasgow, after the alarm was raised on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Enquiries into the incident on Birgidale Road are ongoing<\/p>\n

They said a 31-year-old woman was knocked down by a car and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Police officers<\/a> remained in the area in an attempt to trace the driver.<\/p>\n

They later revealed a 33-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with the alleged incident at Birgidale Road and Downcraig Road.<\/p>\n

Police Scotland said their enquiries are ongoing.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said: \u201cAround 10.25am on Friday, May 2, 2025, we received a report of a 31-year-old woman struck by a car on Birgidale\u00a0 at Downcraig Road, Castlemilk.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA 33-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff court at a later date.”<\/p>\n
