Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a building in east London<\/a>.<\/p>\n A basement battery room was damaged by fire after breaking out at the data centre in Nutmeg Lane, Blackwall, just before 5am today.<\/p>\n London Fire Brigade says the room was storing around 200 acid batteries, which have been destroyed.<\/p>\n Crews from Poplar, Millwall, Plaistow, Stratford, East Ham and Greenwich Fire Stations attended the scene.<\/p>\n The cause is currently under investigation.<\/p>\n London Fire Brigade said: \u2018Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a fire at a data centre building on Nutmeg Lane in Blackwall E14.<\/p>\n \u2018The Brigade\u2019s 999 Control officers received their first call about the fire at 04.52am and deployed crews from Poplar, Millwall, Plaistow, Stratford, East Ham and East Greenwich fire stations.<\/p>\n \u2018The fire was under control by 06.43am.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@metro.co.uk<\/a>.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n For more stories like this, <\/strong>check our news page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow Arrow
