This third edition of the EUDIS Hackathon, themed <strong>\u201cTechnologies for Space and Defence\u201d<\/strong>, took place from <strong>17 to 19 October 2025<\/strong> across eight European locations \u2013\u00a0<strong>the Czech Republic, Germany,\u00a0Italy, the Netherlands, Poland,\u00a0Portugal,\u00a0Romania and\u00a0Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of an intensive weekend, <strong>471 participants<\/strong> from EU Member States, Norway and Ukraine collaborated to design and pitch <strong>129 innovative solutions<\/strong>, fostering cross-border cooperation and strengthening links between Europe and Ukraine in the defence and space domains.<\/p>\n<p>Following the conclusion of the Autumn edition in October 2025, <strong>eight local winning teams<\/strong>, one from each host country, went through mentoring programme and were invited to take part in an <strong>EU-wide live pitching competition held on 14 January 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>top three winners<\/strong> of the EU-wide pitching competition will be invited to attend a major European defence, startup or innovation event, where they will present their solutions to industry leaders, investors and public authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Pitching competition winners of the EUDIS Hackathon 2025 Autumn edition<\/p>\n<p>Eight outstanding teams showcased their innovative solutions addressing Europe\u2019s defence and space priorities. The <strong>top three winners<\/strong>, selected by the jury during the EU-wide pitching competition, are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Trusk<\/strong> (The Netherlands)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Raid\u00a0<\/strong>(Portugal)<\/li>\n<li><strong>True Sight<\/strong> (Italy)<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The <strong>five additional finalists<\/strong>, recognised for the quality, ambition and relevance of their solutions, include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SkyHunter<\/strong> (Romania)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kestrel Defence<\/strong> (Czech Republic)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eurolynx<\/strong> (Spain)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sajgonki<\/strong> (Poland)<\/li>\n<li><strong>C-UAS Bavaria<\/strong> (Germany)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to all participating teams for their technical excellence, collaboration and contribution to strengthening Europe\u2019s defence and space capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Background<\/p>\n<p>The EUDIS Hackathon is not solely a competition; it is a platform designed to shape the future of European defence and space innovation. The EUDIS Hackathons and Mentoring Programme offer participants a unique opportunity to engage with the European defence ecosystem, connect with peers and experts, and develop solutions aligned with real operational needs.<\/p>\n<p>Across its first three editions, the initiative has delivered <strong>22 hackathons across Europe<\/strong>, engaging <strong>more than 1,200 participants<\/strong> from the EU, Norway and Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead: Spring 2026 Edition<\/p>\n<p>Building on the momentum of the Autumn 2025 edition, preparations are well underway for the <strong>fourth edition of the EUDIS Hackathon<\/strong>, taking place <strong>26\u201328 March 2026<\/strong>.
