{"id":718147,"date":"2026-01-24T18:53:22","date_gmt":"2026-01-24T18:53:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/718147\/"},"modified":"2026-01-24T18:53:22","modified_gmt":"2026-01-24T18:53:22","slug":"three-storey-apartment-plans-submitted-off-stanningley-bypass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/718147\/","title":{"rendered":"Three-storey apartment plans submitted off Stanningley Bypass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><strong>By Don Mort<\/strong>, local democracy reporter<\/p>\n<p>A block of 12 flats could be built on vacant land in west Leeds if plans are agreed with the council.<\/p>\n<p>Civcon Civil Engineering is seeking permission to built on a site in between the ring road at Bramley and Stanningley Bypass.<\/p>\n<p>One and two-bedroom apartments would be created in a three-storey block at the site near Edison Business Centre and the Spring Valley Estate.<\/p>\n<p>A design report said it would be on land already allocated for homes under Leeds City Council\u2019s planning policy.<\/p>\n<p>It said: \u201cThe proposal will boost the supply of housing in Leeds through delivery of 12 one and two bed apartments on this allocated housing site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe site is in a sustainable location with access to local shops, services and public transport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The site was classed as brownfield and previously included a tannery yard and chapel, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>It said: \u201cCurrently, the site is predominantly scrubland, containing several trees, brambles and long grass.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three trees would be removed as part of the scheme, but there would be new planting and bird and bat boxes could be provided.<\/p>\n<p>The report said: \u201cThe proposal will not result in any harm to ecological interests and will deliver opportunities to enhance biodiversity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The project would provide eight one-bedroom\u00a0and four two-bed flats.
