Freddie Potts seemingly has a very bright future lying ahead of him with West Ham United.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And Peter Crouch<\/a> has been very impressed by what he has seen from Potts<\/a> whenever he\u2019s played for the Hammers.<\/p>\n

However, have the West Ham fans been equally impressed by the 22-year-old midfielder?<\/p>\n

Potts \u2013 the son of club legend Steve \u2013 has been given plenty of chances with the Hammers first-team this season.<\/p>\n

He has been very solid indeed, for the most part. However, whenever Potts has underperformed for West Ham he has always owned it<\/a> and apologised to the fans after.<\/p>\n

Potts dreams of remaining with West Ham for the rest of his career.<\/p>\n

But is he really good enough to do just that?<\/p>\n

Peter Crouch shares what West Ham fans have told him about Freddie Potts<\/p>\n

Potts has very much been a fixture in the first-team squad at the London Stadium this season.<\/p>\n

Crouch is a very big fan of the Hammers youngster.<\/p>\n

When speaking on TNT Sports<\/a> on Saturday (January 24th, 11:53am), the former Liverpool and Tottenham striker lifted the lid on what he\u2019s been hearing about Potts from the West Ham fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe many West Ham fans I have spoken to would like to see him more regularly in the middle alongside Fernandes,\u201c Crouch revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s done very well. He\u2019s someone they can relate to.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Declan Rice recently, Mark Noble, when I was playing that West Ham academy, the players coming through there, Rio, Frank, Defoe, Glen Johnson, Joe Cole, so many great names.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s something this club was built on and that needs to remain the case. I think Potts is just another one in a long line.\u201c<\/p>\n

Potts is a very solid operator, but he has a long way to go if he is to emulate any of the names mentioned above by Crouch.<\/p>\n

It could be argued that he needs to add more verticality to his passing in order to reach the next level.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s more than good enough to contribute for the Hammers right now, especially given their current situation.<\/p>\n

The West Ham fans always back young players who\u2019ve come through the academy to the hilt.<\/p>\n

Potts will always have the support of the West Ham fans as long as he gives 100 per cent every single time he steps on the pitch.<\/p>\n

And judging by what we\u2019ve seen from him so far, that will never be an issue.<\/p>\n
