But you want to treat your partner\u00a0to the absolute best, right?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Whether you want to turn your situationship into something more or bring back a spark with your long-term lover, we\u2019ve got just the spot.\u00a0London\u2019s\u00a0best bar to book for a hot date<\/a> right now is Godet<\/strong> in Islington.<\/p>\n

Sat in a nineteenth century pub,\u00a0the wine bar is hip without being pretentious, sultry without being intense and low-key without being boring.<\/p>\n

Time Out contributor Daniela Toporek paid Godet a visit back in October. She said that Godet \u2018can easily be spotted by its peachy-pink exterior and checkered curtains\u2019 and that, inside, the \u2018the vibes ridiculously cool\u2019, with vinyl\u00a0DJs playing funk, soul, disco and house at a reasonable volume (one that doesn\u2019t force you to\u00a0yell at one another in a deeply unromantic way).<\/p>\n

For drinks, Godet has a constantly rotating menu of French reds, whites and oranges as well as flutes of champagne for \u00a314 a pop.\u00a0The food is courtesy of nomadic Cantonese-inspired kitchen Ling Ling\u2019s<\/a>, which will call the Islington bar home throughout 2026.<\/p>\n

Time Out\u2019s food and drink editor Leonie Cooper gave its dishes five stars and called it \u2018one of the best places to eat in London right now\u2019.\u00a0Think things\u00a0like\u00a0hot and spicy tartare, Sichuan hibiscus octopus and turnip cakes, mala beef ragu with udon noodles, and steamed prawn, chicken\u00a0or Thai basil wontons. For afters, there\u2019s a matcha and white chocolate\u00a0tiramisu \u2013\u00a0the most romantic of all desserts.\u00a0<\/p>\n
