Thomas Frank heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur\u2019s travelling support – despite being the target of brutal chants in Saturday\u2019s 2-2 draw at Burnley.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spurs boss had his blushes spared thanks to yet more heroics from captain Cristian Romero<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Argentine\u2019s superb header salvaged a late point at Turf Moor after Burnley<\/a> had come from behind to lead in the dying stages.<\/p>\n

Micky van de Ven<\/a> fired Spurs in front in the first half, but goals from Axel Tuanzebe and Lyle Foster turned the game on its head.<\/p>\n

However, Romero\u2019s third goal in as many games gave the travelling Tottenham<\/a> fans something to celebrate on an afternoon of further frustration in the stands.<\/p>\n

Sections of the away support could be heard chanting for Frank\u2019<\/a>s dismissal in the second half with Spurs staring at a tenth defeat in 23 league games.<\/p>\n

Fans were filmed singing, ‘We want Frank out,’ and ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’.<\/p>\n

Some fans have shown a dislike to Frank\u2019s defensive approach, something that was evident during Saturday\u2019s clash with the Spurs manager setting his team up with three centre-backs against a team that had scored just 23 goals in 22 matches.<\/p>\n

Having their say on Spurs’ current style of play, fans were heard humorously chanting, ‘Sideways and backwards, everywhere we go.’<\/p>\n

Frank’s methods have been polar opposite to the gung-ho style implemented by former boss Ange Postecoglou<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite once again being the subject of taunts from supporters, Frank instead thanked the travelling fans for their support when speaking in the mixed zone after the final whistle.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost thank you for travelling and being behind the team and doing everything they could to support throughout,\u201d the Tottenham boss said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were very good so we\u2019re thankful for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having his say on those that aired their disgruntlement at Turf Moor, Frank stated: \u201cMy message is that we are working very hard to do everything we can to get points on the board in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy job is also to see the bigger picture. In the first half it was very good playing away from home.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were bits we needed to improve, but the way we ended the game, I think we did more than enough to win the game here.\u201d<\/p>\n

The result leaves Spurs in 14th place on 28 points.<\/p>\n

They remain eight points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool<\/a> in the race for the top four, and eight points above the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Fortunes couldn\u2019t be any more different for Frank\u2019s side in the Champions League as they sit fifth in the table.<\/p>\n

A win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday would secure safe passage into the round-of-16.<\/p>\n

Frank will be relieved to have stopped the rot following last weekend\u2019s defeat at home to struggling West Ham.<\/p>\n

His side raised their level in midweek beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 before digging deep to find a late leveller at Burnley.<\/p>\n

The recent signing of Conor Gallagher<\/a> has added further steel and energy to Frank\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n
