The Royal Family heirs have never attended the Met Gala, but could all of that change this year? With Kate Middleton<\/a> slowly returning to public duties after her cancer recovery, there\u2019s speculation that she\u2019ll attend with Prince William<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The\u00a0Met Gala<\/a>\u00a0is held every first Monday in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the theme for this year is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,\u201d based on Monica L. Miller\u2019s 2009 book,\u00a0Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity<\/a>. The Royals usually don\u2019t make an appearance at the fashion fundraiser, with the exceptions of William\u2019s mother Princess Diana in 1997 and Princess Beatrice in 2018.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Is Prince William & Kate Middleton attending the Met Gala? <\/p>\n

According to the Royal schedule<\/a>, there is no indication that Prince William and Kate Middleton will attend the Met Gala on May 5. However, Anna Wintour says it\u2019s a dream for Kate to attend. \u201cI would love to have the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge [Kate\u2019s then-title prior to becoming the\u00a0Princess of Wales] together,\u201d Wintour said during an interview with\u00a0Today<\/a>\u00a0in 2019 before Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties. \u201cThat would be my dream couple.\u201d<\/p>\n

The last outing that the Prince and Princess of Wales embarked on a Royal trip together on their anniversary. The two visited Scotland, where they fell in love. \u201cPrince William and Princess Catherine are heading to the Isle of Mull, just off the coast of Scotland,\u201d\u00a0British royal expert Hilary Fordwich\u00a0told\u00a0Fox News Digital<\/a>. \u201cThey will spend the night of their wedding anniversary in a self-catered holiday cottage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir opting for modest accommodation, rather than a luxury hotel, is a metaphor for their relationship,\u201d said Fordwich. \u201cIt\u2019s uncomplicated, genuine and represents the way they like to do things, which is together without a lot of fuss and connected to rural life. They have an enduring connection to Scotland, from their university days together where they started as friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

This all comes after reports that Prince William had recently hired divorce lawyers. However, reports indicate William was merely\u00a0transitioning to new lawyers<\/a>,\u00a0who just happen to be the same ones who represented\u00a0Princess Diana<\/a>\u00a0in her divorce from King Charles. These lawyers also specialize in dispute resolution, private client & family law, real estate, and reputation protection, among other matters.<\/p>\n

In fact, the couple is stronger than ever, according to their friends. Some acquaintances told Vanity Fair, \u201cGetting cancer changed her, it changed William, and it changed everything between them. They were both shocked to their core, but they knew they would get through it together. They continued, \u201cWilliam stepped up. He made Catherine front and center of everything and will continue to do so.
