Five-bed Lavender House in Hampstead<\/a>, North London, was once named in the Sunday Times’s top ten most beautiful homes in the world.<\/p>\n

The property is so chic that singer Craig David had a similar home with the same glass pool designed and built just down the road in Camden<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The modernist house boasts retractable glass roofs, a private gym, three separate gardens, a private courtyard and a basement media room.<\/p>\n

Architect Heidi Locher, who designed the house along with her late husband Richard Paxton, has now put it on the market for \u00a310m.<\/p>\n

The home’s glass walls and roofs echo Paxton’s relative, Joseph Paxton, who built London’s famous Crystal Palace in 1851, as well as letting in an abundance of natural light.<\/p>\n

The home centres around a stunning 40-foot, double-volume reception room illuminated by a pair of retractable glass roof panels and opening onto a garden via full-height, glazed sliding doors.<\/p>\n

Running alongside this dramatic space is a bespoke glass swimming pool, which forms a unique architectural centrepiece.<\/p>\n

Sitting just beyond the master bedroom, a glass wall recedes at the press of a button, revealing the water at the end of the bed.<\/p>\n
