<\/p>\nMeghan Markle shared her hopes for Princess Lilibet\u2019s future during her and Prince Harry\u2019s surprise appearance at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Salt Lake City event for the premiere of Cookie Queens, an upcoming Girl Scout documentary on which which they serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n
Speaking to press on the red carpet, Meghan, 44, a former Girl Scout, discussed how her fond childhood memories prompted her to lend her support to the project, and touched on whether Princess Lilibet could follow in her footsteps.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really embeds such great values from the get-go,\u201d the former Suits actress told Deadline.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was a Girl Scout, my mom was a troop leader, and I think the value of friendship\u2026 and self-belief is an integral value that comes with being a Girl Scout.\u201d<\/p>\n
When quizzed on whether Lilibet, four, will join a troupe once she\u2019s old enough, Meghan replied: \u201cI think we\u2019ll continue to explore whatever feels right.<\/p>\n
\u201cWorking on this project has been incredibly special as parents, as mothers to be able to see something our girls will be able to enjoy and watch as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cookie Queens follows four Girl Scouts as they compete to become the top seller of the famous cookies.<\/p>\n
The documentary received a two-minute standing ovation when it premiered on Sunday. It is currently unknown when it will be released to a wider audience.<\/p>\n
Meghan and Harry\u2019s joint red carpet appearance came days after the Duke of Sussex gave evidence<\/a> in a UK court in his trial against Daily Mail publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL).<\/p>\n Harry, 41, is one of the seven high-profile people suing ANL over allegations of unlawful information gathering, which the publisher has denied.<\/p>\n The other claimants include Elton John, David Furnish, Liz Hurley, and Sadie Frost.<\/p>\n Giving evidence in London\u2019s High Court<\/a> on Wednesday, Harry became emotional as he claimed ANL had made his wife\u2019s life \u201can absolute misery\u201d.<\/p>\n He also said the court battle had been a “horrible experience” for his family and that all he wanted was “an apology and some accountability”.<\/p>\n During his time in the UK, Harry did not visit his father, King Charles, and it is thought he will not return to his home country until July for the one-year countdown event for the Invictus Games.<\/p>\n Meghan usually attends this event with Harry, but it has not been confirmed whether she will join him in the UK.<\/a><\/p>\n
