The Night Manager<\/a> is gearing up for the big season two finale, and if the final episode is anything like season one’s send off, the BBC<\/a> can expect a big turn out.<\/p>\n

Series two returned with Tom Hiddleston as the MI6 operative Pine, living under the aliases of Alex Goodwin and Matthew Ellis, at the helm on New Year’s Day, almost ten years after its explosive finale captivated over 10 million viewers in the UK alone.<\/p>\n

The new season has introduced lots of the show’s former cast members<\/a> including Olivia Colman, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe alongside fresh talent Diego Calva portraying Teddy<\/a>, Camila Morrone as Roxana<\/a>, Indira Varma taking on the role of Mayra, Paul Chahidi as Basil, and Hayley Squires as Sally. A twist halfway through the new series also saw the return of Pine’s enemy Richard Roper, played by Hugh Laurie.<\/p>\n

The Night Manager is based on the characters created by John le Carr\u00e9<\/a>, but unlike the first series, the second season is not an adaptation of the novel as there isn’t one, so how writer David Farr will wrap up the series is not known to anyone.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the scipts, Tom Hiddleston said: “David Farr has achieved the impossible. The Night Manager was based on a novel by John le Carr\u00e9, there was no second novel, no sequel. David has written it with all the sophistication and complexity that le Carre\u0301 would approve of and admire. Teddy, Roxana, Colombia, Alex Goodwin and Matthew Ellis have all emerged from David\u2019s imagination. This is where he chose to go, and we all followed him there. He\u2019s forensic about detail, and brilliant at the plotting of a complex spy thriller. It feels like a roller-coaster. David\u2019s scripts are exciting, dangerous, edgy, mythic and complex. It\u2019s about shame, guilt, and redemption.”<\/p>\n

When is The Night Manager season 2 final episode out?<\/p>\n

Unlike many BBC dramas, The Night Manager isn’t available for binge-watching on iPlayer, requiring audiences to wait for weekly releases.<\/p>\n

The opening episode of The Night Manager was broadcast on a Thursday, airing in the special primetime slot on New Year’s Day. Since then, however, the popular drama has shifted to the Sunday evening slot, and remained there.<\/p>\n

The second series has aired weekly throughout January, but the final instalment, episode six, will broadcast on Sunday, February 1 at 9pm on BBC<\/a> One and BBC iPlayer.<\/p>\n
