40 individual dishes.<\/p>\n<p>Kinara, on King Street, is serving up traditional thali, which is often dubbed as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/where\/india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indian<\/a>-style tapas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Thali of Indian food.\" height=\"960\" width=\"720\" data-credit=\"\" restaurant in Glasgow is serving up a delicious thali<\/p>\n<p>The mammoth meal is served on a huge silver platter and consists of a selection of curries, pakoras, breads and dips. <\/p>\n<p>And award-winning chef Shabu Natarajan and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">business<\/a> partner Altaf Hossain reckon it could rival the much-loved Sunday roast.<\/p>\n<p>Altaf said: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/glasgow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glasgow<\/a> is famous for its food so to celebrate that, Kinara is offering an exciting brand new dish created by our head chef.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are the first to offer the biggest Mega Thali on one table and it\u2019s already proving popular with our customers old and new. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our award-winning chef Shabu Natarajan has selected 44 different dishes from all parts of India, from south, from north, from the Central belt, and further afield to bring a new culinary experience to Glasgow diners.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Included in the delicious dish are spiced onions, vegetable pakora, butter chicken and lamb Rogan Josh &#8211; to name a few. <\/p>\n<p>The thali is designed for 4-6 people and is priced at just \u00a399.<\/p>\n<p>And Altaf reckons there&#8217;s something for everyone on &#8216;Scotland&#8217;s largest thali&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>He added: &#8220;We have a Nilgiri Lamb Korma, for example, which is a very unique dish in our restaurant. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The recipe is from South India, and it&#8217;s balanced with the spices and fresh herbs, like coriander, mint and green chillies. <\/p>\n<p>Britain&#8217;s top ten favourite Indian dishes revealed from Samosas to Tandoori &#8211; where does yours rank-<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We also have dishes like Rasam on there &#8211; a soup which people will not have tried and there are other surprises too. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s an experience of a lifetime and people are already contacting us about trying it after seeing it on our socials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kinara, the sister restaurant to Madras Cafe, is serving up the delicious dish every Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>FORTY DISH THALI AT KINARA <\/p>\n<p>1 Aloo Bonda- a delicious ball shaped fritter stuffed with succulent potato.<br \/>2 Banana Chips \u2013 Crispy, fried banana slices, lightly salted.<br \/>3 Papad \u2013 Thin, crispy lentil crackers.<br \/>4 Spiced Onions \u2013 Tangy, spiced onion salad with a hint of lemon.<br \/>5 Mango Chutney \u2013 Sweet and tangy mango preserve with mild spices.<br \/>6 Mixed Pickle \u2013 Spicy, tangy mix of pickled vegetables.<br \/>7 Apple Pickle \u2013 Unique, tangy and slightly sweet spiced apple preserve.<br \/>8 Raita \u2013 Cooling yoghurt dip with cucumber and spices.<br \/>9 Bhel \u2013 Crunchy puffed rice snack mixed with assorted chutneys.<br \/>10 Rasam \u2013 Spicy, tangy South Indian tomato and tamarind soup.<br \/>11 Veg Pakora \u2013 Crispy, spiced seasonal vegetable fritters.<br \/>12 Ulundu Vada \u2013 Savoury lentil doughnuts with a soft centre.<br \/>13 Hara Bara Tikki \u2013 Herby vegetable patties, lightly spiced and pan-fried.<br \/>14 Chicken Porichathu \u2013 South Indian-style fried chicken with aromatic spices.<br \/>15 Lamb Chop \u2013 Juicy lamb chops marinated in Indian spices and grilled.<br spot to try for himself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I WAS full of confidence when I popped into Glasgow&#8217;s Kinara<\/strong> <strong>and said &#8216;I&#8217;ll polish this off no bother&#8217;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However my eyes were bigger than my belly as I battled the meat sweats after about a dozen dishes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Man sitting at it was breathtaking. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not a lover of vegetarian dishes but the highlight here was the Posto Aloo \u2013 Bengali-style potatoes cooked with poppy seeds.<\/p>\n<p>They were incredibly rich and moreish and will definitely be getting added to my next Indian order.<\/p>\n<p>The thali was pure theatre &#8211; they say you eat with your eyes and this massive meal was a stunning sight. <\/p>\n<p>This is the perfect way to end your weekend before heading back to work on Monday &#8211; grab a few pals and enjoy a stunning Sunday scran.<\/p>\n<p>Read more on the Scottish
