A number of schools across Northern Ireland have announced closures ahead of an amber weather warning for wind due to come into force in the early hours of Tuesday morning. <\/p>\n

The first named storm of the year for Northern Ireland<\/a>, Storm Chandra, will hit the region on Tuesday with warnings for rain and wind in place until Wednesday. <\/p>\n

A yellow weather warning has been issued for rain and wind from 00:01 to 23:59 across all counties with an Amber wind warning in place from 5am \u2013 9pm in counties Antrim<\/a>, Down<\/a> and Derry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re likely to see delays and cancellations to public transport, flights and ferries. There is a potential for flooding and some local power cuts as well.<\/p>\n
