He\u2019s also increasing tariffs on Chinese goods by more than 100%, forcing both Chinese companies like Shein and American giants like Amazon to <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/podcast\/damn-the-cluely-ragebait-got-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">adjust plans and hike prices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CNBC reports that Temu was affected as well, with U.S. shoppers seeing \u201cimport charges\u201d between 130% and 150% added to their bills. Now, however, the company is <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/02\/temu-halts-shipments-direct-from-china-as-de-minimis-tariff-rule-ends-.html\" target=\"_blank\">no longer shipping goods directly<\/a> from China to the United States. Instead, it only displays listings for products available in U.S. warehouses, while goods shipped from China are listed as out of stock.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTemu has been actively recruiting U.S. sellers to join the platform,\u201d a Temu spokesperson said. \u201cThe move is designed to help local merchants reach more customers and grow their businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Chinese retailer Temu has shifted strategy in the face of U.S. tariffs.
