Liverpool will be without Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate for Wednesday\u2019s Champions League tie with Qarabag.<\/p>\n

Gomez picked up an injury during last weekend\u2019s defeat at AFC Bournemouth and Arne Slot was asked on Tuesday whether there is a definitive timescale in mind for the defender\u2019s return.<\/p>\n

The head coach replied: \u201cNo, not really. But I can confirm that he is not available for tomorrow evening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slot later added: \u201cI expect him back in a relatively short time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Konate, meanwhile, has missed the last two matches due to personal reasons and will also not play against Qarabag.<\/p>\n

Slot said: \u201cOf course I spoke to him and if you know why he is not here, of course we both know that he is having a hard time. I\u2019m hoping and expecting him back soon, but also not for tomorrow evening\u2019s game.\u201d<\/p>\n
