A man is understood to have died following a serious crash in Coalisland, as emergency services remain at the scene. <\/p>\n
The Belfast Telegraph understands a vehicle collided with the front of a Spar shop in the Moor Road area.<\/p>\n
SDLP representative Malachy Quinn said that his \u201cheart is breaking\u201d for the loved ones of the man, who he described as \u201celderly\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cA car has went through a shop wall and a local gentleman unfortunately has died. He was an elderly local man. It happened at around 12.30pm today on near a local spar,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cMy heart is breaking for the family and loved ones to be perfectly honest. The entire community is in shock. It is a tragic accident of the highest order.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Air Ambulance, paramedics, PSNI and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are all at the scene.<\/p>\n
Three fire appliances are at the scene.<\/p>\n
The road has been closed in both directions.<\/p>\n
A PSNI spokesperson said: \u201cMoor Road, Coalisland, is closed to road users between Washingbay Road and Gortgonis Road, following a collision.<\/p>\n
“Please seek an alternative route for your journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

An Northern Ireland Ambulance Service spokesperson said no patients were taken from the scene. <\/p>\n
“The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 12:16 on Wednesday, 28th January, following reports of an incident in the Moor Road, Coalisland area,\u201d said the spokesperson. <\/p>\n
\u201cNIAS dispatched one emergency ambulance and the charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board, were also tasked to the scene.
