My SON TED ate raw FOOD and got SICK, then went to BED with me by his SIDE.&quot;\" height=\"528\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-27-12.png\" data-caption=\"The 1% question had people stumped\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-27-12.png\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4<\/p>\n<p>The 1% question had people stumped<a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Screenshot of a man in a suit speaking on a game show set.\" height=\"529\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-27-17.png\" data-caption=\"Lee asked the brutal final question\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-27-17.png\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4<\/p>\n<p>Lee asked the brutal final question<\/p>\n<p>After a few shock early exits and surprisingly easier later questions, show host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/who\/lee-mack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lee Mack<\/a> remained hopeful that one of the five on the floor could arrive at the correct answer.<\/p>\n<p>Reading out the final question, Lee poised to the players: &#8220;What new word links the capitalised words below?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He then read aloud this sentence which featured certain words capitalised: &#8220;My SON TED ate raw FOOD and got SICK, then went to BED with me by his SIDE.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thirty seconds were then put on the clock with the five remaining players hoping to get to the correct answer.<\/p>\n<p>With the time up, Lee went round the men one-by-one to which they all gave different answers.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst one admitted that he hadn&#8217;t even wrote anything down, another said they had picked &#8220;well&#8221; as their answers before someone else opted for &#8220;new&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, all of them arrived at the incorrect answer.<\/p>\n<p>Lee then went on to reveal how the correct answer was in fact, sea.<\/p>\n<p>This is because &#8220;sea&#8221; could be placed at the start of each of the capitalised words in order to create another word.<\/p>\n<p>Adding &#8220;sea&#8221; to &#8220;son&#8221; creates season whilst adding it to &#8220;ted&#8221;, created seated.<\/p>\n<p>The 1% Club contestants left stumped by confusing picture question<\/p>\n<p>The same policy applied for the rest of the words.<\/p>\n<p>It left Lee in disbelief as the prize pot had to be abandoned with none of them walking away with any money.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the same show, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/tv\/34786905\/one-percent-club-players-stumped-confusing-picture-question\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a whopping 16 players were wiped out<\/a> on only the second question.<\/p>\n<p>The 80% question caught them out early and it featured three pictures, a ball of string, a metallic square and a cloud with a face making a blowing motion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Screenshot of a word puzzle:  The word &quot;SEA&quot; can be added to the beginning of capitalized words (SON, TED, FOOD, SICK, BED, SIDE) to create new words.\" height=\"533\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-27-47.png\" data-caption=\"The correct answer was then revealed\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-27-47.png\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4<\/p>\n<p>The correct answer was then revealed<a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Screenshot of the set for &quot;The 1% Club&quot; game show.\" height=\"526\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-28-05.png\" data-caption=\"None of the players got it correct\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-Capture-2025-05-03-22-28-05.png\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4<\/p>\n<p>None of the players got it correct<\/p>\n<p>The question read: &#8220;In this cryptic puzzle, where would you find the following images?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The options were: &#8220;In an orchestra, In a cinema or On a\u00a0football\u00a0pitch&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Lee revealed the answer was &#8216;In an orchestra&#8217; as the pictures represented string, brass and wind, which are all sections of an orchestra.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The 1% Club wiped out all five finalists with a very tough final question.
