Similarities have been noticed by fans between \u201cMother Nature\u201d by Eva Marija and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/m8AXUq5uA0Y\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Keeping Your Head Up<\/a>\u201d by Birdy. <\/p>\n<p>Jeff Spielmann, the Media Manager for Luxembourg in Eurovision, told the newspaper that:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cWe, the Eurovision team, take the discussions about possible copyright infringements seriously and want to deal with them transparently. To this end, we are holding talks with, among others, the European Broadcasting Union, Rocklab, the composers, the artist, and the music rights organization Sacem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">It\u2019s a fact that the song \u2018Mother Nature\u2019 was written last year by the composers together with the artist during the songwriting camp at the Rockhal, and that Birdy\u2019s song in no way served as a template\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Numerous songs competing in the Eurovision Song Contest have been accused of plagiarism, but no song has been removed from the competition because of a finding of plagiarism. <\/p>\n<p>Eva Marija was selected to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 after winning the Luxembourg Song Contest. She topped the jury voting and televoting in the final round of the contest. Luxembourg participated in the contest 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times. The last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, but opted against it due to the financial cost of participating.
