Michael Carrick<\/a> withdrew United<\/a> forward Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> and brought on summer signing Cunha, who had a major impact against the Gunners last Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Cunha received the ball from Kobbie Mainoo<\/a> late in the second half before successfully pulling off a stunning long-range curling strike past David Raya.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Brazil international was the difference-maker on the night at the Emirates, with United beating Arsenal<\/a> and securing all three Premier League points.<\/p>\n

Matheus Cunha has come off the bench on both occasions in Michael Carrick\u2019s first two matches in charge of Manchester United as interim head coach this season.<\/p>\n

The former Wolves ace picked up an assist in Man Utd\u2019s 2-0 win over Manchester City<\/a> after he set up Patrick Dorgu<\/a> in the second half of the Manchester derby.<\/p>\n

Carrick has preferred to start with Patrick Dorgu as his main left-wing option ahead of Cunha, who was a key United first-team<\/a> player under Ruben Amorim<\/a> this season.<\/p>\n

Speaking after Arsenal\u2019s defeat to Man Utd<\/a>, Gunners hero Ian Wright<\/a> was in awe at the technique behind Cunha\u2019s sensational winner at the Emirates at the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know the thing is, even with Cunha\u2019s goal, I\u2019m sitting where I was sitting, as soon as he picked it up, you know, when you see that uncomfortable space in front of him, you think that\u2019s too much space,\u201d he said on The Overlap\u2019s Stick to Football<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs he got the quality to hit it, bam, and he\u2019s done it. And I thought, you know, something, that\u2019s exactly what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ian Wright\u2019s feelings around Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo amid his praise for Man Utd ace Matheus Cunha<\/p>\n

Alongside his reaction to Cunha, Wright spotlighted the impact that Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo<\/a> had against Arsenal with their respective Man Utd performances.<\/p>\n

Mbeumo has been the lone forward in Carrick\u2019s tactical set-up for Man Utd<\/a>, while Amad Diallo<\/a> has been restored to his natural position out on the right wing.<\/p>\n

Wright continued: \u201cAnd you think to yourself, if that\u2019s what United are doing with, like, Mbeumo, who was\u2026 [who] else up front with Mbeumo at the start? Who\u2019s [on the right] side? Amad.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith them dropping off the centre-backs, not knowing what to do, [they\u2019re] just causing all that kind of problem.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then when they pushed up on us, it was like winning a ball back in the rondo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mbeumo netted United\u2019s first-half equaliser against Arsenal at the Emirates before the 26-year-old Cameroon international was withdrawn in the second half for Cunha.<\/p>\n
