Barry Keoghan<\/a> has unveiled a new Beatles<\/a>-style haircut ahead of playing Ringo Starr<\/a> in the Fab Four biopic.<\/p>\n

Sam Mendes\u2019 four-film series about The Beatles is currently scheduled for a simultaneous release in April 2028. Alongside Keoghan as Starr, Paul Mescal<\/a> will play Paul McCartney<\/a>, Joseph Quinn will portray George Harrison<\/a>, and Harris Dickinson has been cast as John Lennon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Irish actor has already met with his real-life counterpart, and admitted to being nervous during their first encounter<\/a>, as well as being unable to look at him.<\/p>\n

Now, it appears the star has styled his hair in preparation for the role, sporting the band\u2019s signature \u201cmop top\u201d haircut at the London premiere of his new film, Crime 101, on Wednesday evening (January 28). It\u2019s the first hint at what the actor may look like as the famous drummer, as no official images from the films have been released.<\/p>\n

Recently, Mescal confirmed that production for the films was ongoing<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re a while away from finishing,\u201d he told Variety<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s my job for all of 2026.\u201d He also said that \u201cI think the world hopefully will benefit from knowing as little as possible going into it.\u201d\u00a0 In another interview, he revealed he would be doing his own singing for the role.<\/a><\/p>\n

Elsewhere, How To Have Sex star Mia McKenna-Bruce, who will plays Starr\u2019s wife Maureen Starkey in the films, admitted she wasn\u2019t a fan of the band before being cast in the movie.<\/a> \u201cWe sang \u2018Eleanor Rigby\u2019 and \u2018Yellow Submarine\u2019 at school, but it wasn\u2019t my jam\u201d she revealed to Tatler.<\/p>\n

The real-life Ringo Starr said in July that he offered \u201cextensive notes\u201d on the movie\u2019s script<\/a>, telling The New York Times<\/a>: \u201c[Mendes] had a writer \u2014 very good writer, great reputation, and he wrote it great, but it had nothing to do with Maureen and I. That\u2019s not how we were. I\u2019d say, \u2018We would never do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
