{"id":729443,"date":"2026-01-29T21:51:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T21:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/729443\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T21:51:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T21:51:16","slug":"leeds-restaurant-salvos-closes-after-dispute-with-landlord","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/729443\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds restaurant Salvo&#8217;s closes after dispute with landlord"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The restaurant on Otley Road remained one of the city&#8217;s best-loved Italian eateries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In a post on Facebook, Salvo&#8217;s said: &#8220;This morning, the landlord changed the locks and denied our team access to the premises. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;This means we are, with immediate effect, unable to honour any existing bookings, provide table service, or welcome you for the dining experience we love to create.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It added: &#8220;We want to be unequivocally clear: We have always met our obligations, including rent and all bills. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly, not just to serve exceptional food, but to build a community within our walls. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Through the immense challenges of the hospitality economy, we fought to stay afloat, committed to our staff, our suppliers, and most of all, to you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The post on Facebook said the restaurant&#8217;s owners hoped to resolve the dispute as quickly as possible and reopen, but urged customers not to make a booking until further notice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The restaurant on Otley Road remained one of the city&#8217;s best-loved Italian eateries.
