which closes on 2 February.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Five-time major champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/players\/brooks-koepka\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"5afa99fd-7484-4c59-bf2c-7368bc30b1e6\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"Brooks Koepka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brooks Koepka<\/a> took advantage of the new scheme earlier in the month and is making his comeback this week at the Farmers Insurance Open.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Former Masters champion Patrick Reed wasn&#8217;t eligible for the programme as it was only open to winners of a major championship or The Players Championship since 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But he will be able to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/liv-golf\/liv-golf-releases-immediate-statement-patrick-reed-quits-league\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"7c67cbbe-6d5a-49b9-a37d-5784780c98cb\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"LIV Golf releases statement after Patrick Reed quits league for PGA Tour return\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">return<\/a> to the PGA Tour from August and compete in 2027 out of the past champion category.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>There has been a renewed focus on Rahm, Smith and DeChambeau in light of Reed&#8217;s decision to return to the PGA Tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some current PGA Tour golfers have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/pga-tour\/pga-tour-golfer-makes-gloomy-prediction-liv-golf\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"93dd8552-38c6-4cc2-bfe3-c70b79a78c5c\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"PGA Tour golfer makes gloomy LIV Golf prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> the &#8220;dominoes are starting to fall&#8221; and some players are realising the &#8220;grass wasn&#8217;t greener&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But a memo obtained by Dan Rapaport has revealed the PGA Tour is not expecting DeChambeau, Rahm and Smith to change their minds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We expect Brooks Koepka will be the only player rejoining the Tour through the returning member programme,&#8221; the memo stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>The memo was written by Tyler Tennis, the chief competitions officer, and Jason Gore, the chief player officer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The letter also revealed three more players &#8211;
