Parkhead.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/stefan-borson-this-is-how-celtic-could-spend-more-money-after-official-documents-analysed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic posted a new club-record revenue<\/a> last season after their turnover surged from \u00a3124.6million in 2023-24 to \u00a3143.6m. <\/p>\n<p>A report by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/footballbenchmark.com\/en\/e\/blog\/28466\/507241\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Football Benchmark<\/a>, posted on Thursday (29 January), highlights how the Scottish champions\u2019 matchday revenue reached \u00a362.1m in 2024-25.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The analysis shows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/celtic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic<\/a>\u2019s income in that department has improved by \u00a319.9m since the 2018-19 season, marking a 46 per cent increase over a six-year period.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, the Glasgow giants\u2019 official accounts revealed their matchday jumped from \u00a349.6m in 2023-24 to \u00a360.3m last season, suggesting the two parties break those figures down slightly href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/ac-milan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AC Milan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/juventus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Juventus<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/newcastle-united\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newcastle United<\/a> in the top 20. <\/p>\n<p>MORE helping their overall turnover reach \u00a3975m for the campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The report said Celtic have the highest dependency for their matchday income among the top 20 clubs as it represents 42 their Champions League performances last season, having made it to the knock-out round play-offs before being narrowly beaten by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/bayern-munich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bayern Munich<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That run <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/exclusive-celtic-land-guaranteed-38m-windfall-official-documents-reveal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">provided Celtic with an extra \u00a338m in prize money<\/a> due to the riches on offer in European football\u2019s premier club competition. <\/p>\n<p>However, their matchday income and overall revenue could fall this season, with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/celtic-hit-by-11m-blow-after-landing-38m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic only competing in the Europa League<\/a>\u00a0after being knocked out by Kairat Almaty in the Champions League qualifying rounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>How Celtic\u2019s matchday revenue compares to Rangers<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/how-celtic-have-blown-rangers-away-financially-after-ibrox-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic strengthened the financial gap between themselves and Rangers<\/a> following their exploits in Europe last season. <\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/tag\/rangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rangers<\/a> also generated a club-record revenue, their numbers were still a long way behind their Old Firm rivals, with their turnover improving from \u00a388.3m in 2023-24 to \u00a394.1m. <\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the matchday income at Ibrox also accounted for a large portion of their overall revenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rangers\u2019 matchday improved slightly from \u00a343.8m to \u00a345m, with the club reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League before being knocked out by Athletic Bilbao. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"
