I grabbed the last remaining seat, in the window at the front of the shop, and examined the menu, settling on the breakfast bagel. I wandered over to the counter to order to be warmly greeted by a staff member and copious amounts of beautiful baked goods presented in a glass display.<\/p>\n
Everything from cheese and onion pies to school cake and Kinder Bueno cookie treats were available. Although I couldn’t see them on the shelf, sausage rolls where in hot demand, judging by customer’s to-go orders. I added a white chocolate and raspberry bun to my receipt and was told to wait while staff managed the rest.<\/p>\n
In a mere moment or two, I was presented with my drink and bun while the bagel was prepared in the kitchen. I’m not normally a fan of cakey treats but it was one of the most appealing on display, so I thought, “Why the hell not, eh?”<\/p>\n
If anyone faced me during my first bite, they would’ve noticed my eyes endure adrenaline-driven dilation from a sweet raspberry overload. For anyone who cares, raspberry is top of the league in my favourite flavours and this little bun had me wrapped around its finger (or soft fluffy body).<\/p>\n

The white chocolate was just enough the bun wasn’t overpowered by a sickeningly sweet sensation, but the raspberry completely encapsulated the taste experience anyway. Paired with a soft and fluffy wrap around shape, I was in complete heaven. I contemplated ordering several to go because I knew I’d want another later.<\/p>\n
Sadly, I decided to behave. The bun was demolished and staff swept away my plate quickly so there was little fuss on the table. After a longer wait, my bagel was delivered.<\/p>\n
The bagel was greasier than I imagine most prefer but I didn’t mind it as a gluttonous one-off. Incapable of standing due to the sheer amount of sausage, egg and bacon tucked between its toasted buns, my main course spread diagonally on the plate, akin to some sort of Leaning Tower of Breakfast.<\/p>\n

The bagel was toasted and held its shape well as opposed to softer, doughy options. You can order it without as much filling to make it more manageable but I wouldn’t deprive yourself.<\/p>\n
Reflecting days later, I\u2019m still raving about my delicious lunch at Lemmington’s. The moment I returned from my excursion, I told anyone who would listen just how good, and filling, my rarely ordered selections had been. I’m now passing that information on to you.<\/p>\n
The menu features an array of brunch classics including smashed avocado and eggs on toast, grilled cheese and Scouse. There’s even kids meals for little ones to enjoy.<\/p>\n
I travelled across the region to Wallasey just to sample the menu and I don’t have any regrets.
