Sandringham parkrun got the royal seal of approval today as King Charles paid a surprise visit.<\/p>\n
Charles\u2019 visit came ahead of World Cancer Day next week and was organised in partnership with Move Against Cancer and Sandringham\u2019s 5K Your Way group.<\/p>\n
The King surprised runners during their opening lap this morning, smiling and waving as they jogged by – with many participants left stunned.<\/p>\n

He stood with Sarah Byatt, one of the many volunteers, and shook hands with some as they passed.<\/p>\n
Peter Brown, who completed the event write-up, said: \u201cWell, what an amazing Sandringham parkrun today with our surprise guest helping out at marshal point one!<\/p>\n
\u201cPhotos show just how much the morning was enjoyed by all.\u201d<\/p>\n

A big shout-out was given to Ramona Thevenet, who completed her 903rd parkrun today. She is believed to be the woman with the most completed parkruns in the world.<\/p>\n
5K Your Way, meanwhile, encourages anyone impacted by cancer to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at more than 120 designated parkrun events across the UK and Ireland on the last Saturday of each month – bringing communities together through movement, friendship and encouragement.<\/p>\n
