The Mail on Sunday can reveal the millionaire presenter has moved to leafy Surrey, buying a vast new-build mansion on an exclusive street for a record price of more than \u00a310million. His purchase is costing him more than \u00a31million in stamp duty alone.<\/p>\n
McPartlin, 50, sold his luxury house in Wimbledon<\/a>, south-west London, two months ago after a planning dispute with neighbours.<\/p>\n One local in the village, which the MoS is not naming, said: \u2018Apparently, it is a record sale for the area and it\u2019s all anyone is gossiping about. It is one of the prime private estates in an acre of grounds so he shouldn\u2019t have trouble with the neighbours any more.\u2019<\/p>\n And he won\u2019t need to worry about the mortgage as he has just signed a \u00a330 million golden handcuffs ITV<\/a> deal with TV partner and best friend Declan Donnelly<\/a>. Donnelly was also recently reported to be splashing out on property, snapping up his third house in the same London street.<\/p>\n McPartlin, who had his first child with second wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 47, just over 18 months ago, is sure to feel at home in the celebrity enclave.\u00a0<\/p>\n Locals say the couple have been out with their son, Wilder. The couple splashed out \u2018hundreds of thousands\u2019, adding two extensions and a swimming pool with Victorian-style changing rooms.<\/p>\n He bought that house after some rocky years when a painkiller addiction sparked by a botched knee operation and drinking problems nearly ended his career.<\/p>\n He spent two months in rehab in 2017, with another stay the following year when he crashed his car while more than twice the alcohol limit.
