WAISTCOAT<\/strong> got off the mark in good style for Dylan Cunha at Leicester last week when coming late on the scene, a well-run six furlongs suiting him, and with a similar scenario in the offing here he can follow up in this amateurs contest. Course winner Under Curfew gained his latest win at Wolverhampton in February and is respected back on turf, while Beau Jardine has gone well fresh and is interesting with his last two wins coming over this course and distance.<\/p>\n

ANTHELIA<\/strong> was a decisive winner from short-priced favourite Canyouhearthedrums when making a winning debut by two and a half lengths at Bath last month, so Rod Millman\u2019s filly is taken to defy a penalty up against three newcomers. Of the unraced trio, Madame X, a half-sister by Ardad to three winners, is feared most for the Hannon yard.<\/p>\n

There are doubts as to whether LIOSA<\/strong> is as good on turf as the all-weather, but he\u2019s been an improved performer for Stuart Kittow on artificial surfaces, winner three of his last four starts, including when returning at Kempton last month, and is given a chance from his lower mark back on turf. Lil Guff might give him most to do unless the betting vibes are notably strong surrounding Second Name, who has been given a bit of time since his disappointing handicap debut. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s likely this novice will develop into a straight fight between EL MATADOR<\/strong> and Sea Baaeed, with the former taken to make the most of the 7 lb he receives from his rival. Ralph Beckett\u2019s colt shaped very well when going down fighting by half a length to Falconer in a maiden at Nottingham on his only start last year whilst pulling clear of the rest. Sea Baaeed won at Wolverhampton on his only two-year-old but was beaten in better company at Newmarket on his return.<\/p>\n

Rod Millman\u2019s JUST AN HOUR<\/strong> landed a gamble when ending a long losing run in style on his reappearance at Nottingham last month and a 6 lb rise in the weights doesn\u2019t look sufficient to prevent him from following up. Didaar is next on the list on the back of a good reappearance at Redcar when a staying-on third to Capla Lazarus, ahead of Odin Legacy who should find this drop back in trip to his benefit after having his stamina stretched last time. <\/p>\n

GOLD CUP DAY<\/strong> made a promising debut for William Haggas at Newbury last month, seemingly getting the hang of things late on when taking fifth behind Furthur. He\u2019s entitled to improve for that experience and can get off the mark at the second attempt over this extra furlong. Ralph Beckett\u2019s Bull Run was the most expensive of the four interesting newcomers and may prove next best ahead of Triple Gee who might be the pick of the Andrew Balding pair.<\/p>\n

A number of these arrive with a question mark against them so this looks a good opportunity for Dylan Cunha\u2019s WANNABEAWALLABY<\/strong> to build on his second at Bath last month and get off the mark from near the foot of the weights. The returning Grey Owl, a course-and-distance winner, figures on a lenient mark and could emerge as the chief threat, although Ray\u2019s The One and Fram Castle, who have both been hurdling, also need factoring in.<\/p>\n
