It’s my first date since I’ve been single. I’m on my way to the date, I’ve called Pete and he’s said ‘don’t overthink it, just enjoy it.’<\/p>\n “‘Do I wait for her inside or is that overthinking it? He went ‘yep, that’s overthinking it exactly, go inside, get yourself a drink and chill, staying outside like a weirdo on the street. Text her and ask her what she’d like to drink, so it’s sat on the table waiting for her’.<\/p>\n “‘I then replied saying ‘such a good idea’ and Pete said ‘look her in the eye and say she looks stunning, it’s the basics’.”<\/p>\n Pete said on their podcast Staying Relevant: “I then got the phone call post date and it sounds like you handled it very well, very well.”<\/p>\n Sam admitted he’s still “terrified” to date but said: “There are so many things Pete gave me in that snippet of advice, he literally gave me a play by play.”<\/p>\n He added: “I’ve never been so nervous for those kind of events.
