Jeremy Jacquet has described Liverpool as ‘one of the greatest football institutions’ and says he is ‘honoured’ to be joining the club.<\/p>\n

The Reds reached an agreement<\/strong><\/a> for the transfer of the 20-year-old from French side Stade Rennais on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

Jacquet will make the switch to Merseyside ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, subject to a work permit and international clearance.<\/p>\n

He will remain with the Ligue 1 outfit for the remainder of the current season and move to Anfield in the summer on a long-term contract.<\/p>\n

In a statement released on his behalf by Rennes, he said: “I am honoured to sign for Liverpool, one of the greatest football institutions in the world.<\/p>\n

“It was also very important for me to finish my time in red and black on a high, at my boyhood club, the club of my heart.<\/p>\n

“I’m approaching this second half of the season with the desire to experience some great moments with my teammates and the fans.”<\/p>\n

Jacquet has made 31 appearances in total for Rennes so far since making his debut in January 2024.<\/p>\n
