TRIPLE DOUBLE A<\/strong> has thrived in handicaps in cheekpieces this season and can complete a quick-fire hat-trick. He made little impact in three starts in maiden\/novice company last season, but fitted with cheekpieces, he was well backed on his handicap debut and reappearance at Redcar two weeks ago and rewarded that support with a decisive victory.<\/p>\n

He followed up under a penalty with an even better performance at Yarmouth last Thursday, drawing four lengths clear, and he looks up to defying another penalty. Sharma d\u2019Amour showed much improvement when making a successful handicap debut at Lingfield last month and could be the one for the forecast spot.<\/p>\n

SCOVILLE<\/strong>, a 200,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, boasts an eye-catching pedigree as he\u2019s out of Group 1 winner Ribbons and is a half-brother to a smart sort in 2023 Melbourne Cup runner-up Soulcombe.<\/p>\n

Scoville is in excellent hands with William Haggas and is taken to make a winning debut. Vecu failed to match his juvenile form when only third on his reappearance at Chelmsford last month, but he wasn\u2019t seen to best effect there from a wide draw, and he\u2019s likely to put up a better showing here.<\/p>\n

FORAGER<\/strong> looks on a fair mark based on the pick of her juvenile efforts, notably a runner-up effort at Lingfield off this mark on her penultimate start, and she will have the assistance of Tom Marquand in the saddle for the first time.<\/p>\n

Forager gets the vote over The Feminine Urge, who has been placed on her last couple of starts and should give another good account.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

FLEETWATER <\/b>shaped well when runner-up on her reappearance and handicap debut at Kempton last month, finding only an improving rival too strong, and she looks likely to go well off just a 1 lb higher mark.<\/p>\n

Her record at Windsor is also a positive as she won a novice and was then runner-up under a penalty on her two previous attempts over this course and distance. Distant Rumble was a comfortable winner over course and distance last week, so is a danger under a penalty.<\/p>\n

ASINARA <\/b>shaped well when third on her return at Haydock last month and can take a step forward with that outing under her belt. Asinara travelled well at the head of affairs in the centre group but a lack of a recent run seemed to tell late on as she was headed approaching the final furlong. She makes appeal off the same mark here.<\/p>\n

KINGKEER<\/b>still looked a bit rough around the edges when fourth at Salisbury on his final start last season, but he remains relatively unexposed and with the potential to do better as a four-year-old.<\/p>\n

He has been gelded since last seen and makes his return to action with trainer Hughie Morrison\u2019s horses in good form, so it\u2019s worth taking a chance that this well-bred and lightly raced sort can take a step forward. Golden Circet had the run of the race when scoring at Bath a couple of weeks ago, but he\u2019s only gone up 3lb, so is an obvious danger.<\/p>\n

HARLINGTON <\/b>won at Wolverhampton in November and has largely held his form well since, finishing in the frame on his six subsequent starts. He has been eased 1 lb since finishing third at Bath a couple of weeks ago and has Rossa Ryan taking over in the saddle, so looks likely to go well again.<\/p>\n

Curtiz needs to bounce back from a below-par effort at Wolverhampton last time, but had been runner-up at Chelmsford prior to that and is respected on that form.<\/p>\n
