Bryson DeChambeau has admitted <\/strong>LIV Golf<\/strong><\/a> players only receive a share of team prize money at the end of the season if their franchise is in profit.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n DeChambeau opened up on the subject after he won his third title on the PIF-backed breakaway at their seventh stop of the season in Korea<\/a>.<\/p>\n The reigning U.S. Open champion began the final round at Jack Nicklas Golf Club on Sunday with a four-shot lead.<\/p>\n He was made to work for the victory by former PGA Tour<\/a> journeyman and Crushers teammate Charles Howell III.\u00a0<\/p>\n DeChambeau<\/a> made the turn in level par and was tied for the lead with Howell with four holes remaining.\u00a0<\/p>\n Bryson DeChambeau<\/p>\n But he put circles on his scorecard at 15, 17 and 18 to win by two strokes and step into the winner’s circle for the first time since he won his second major title at Pinehurst No.2 last summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n His Crushers team also secured victory and the $3m top prize.\u00a0<\/p>\n Since LIV launched in June 2022, it has always been debated what happens with the team prize money.<\/p>\n The Firepit Collective reported that it was a source of contention, with one unnamed player telling Alan Shipnuck: “Why are we standing on a podium spraying each other with champagne when we don’t get the money?”<\/p>\n Kevin Na also said of the topic: “If you play well, you’re going to win a s— ton more [money], so I’m not worrying about the details.”<\/p>\n DeChambea told reporters on Sunday: “At the end of the year, if we’re in profit, we get a kickback at the end of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n “So we’re incentivized from the team aspect to win quite heavily.<\/p>\n “We’re working on some thoughts around that moving forward, but we’ll have more hopefully here soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n “We’re figuring that end of the bit out, but from what I feel and what we all feel, we are heavily incentivized.”<\/p>\n Bryson DeChambeau<\/p>\n “My goal is to win every tournament”<\/p>\n LIV Golf will now take a short break before heading back to the United States for their stop in Washington.\u00a0<\/p>\n The second men’s major of the year – the US PGA Championship<\/a> at Quail Hollow Club – will be contested over 15-18 May.\u00a0<\/p>\n![\"Bryson](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2025-05-04T103727Z_1993839353_UP1EL540RDDMB_RTRMADP_3_GOLF-LIV-SOUTHKOREA.JPG\")
