Times have certainly changed since Paul Sculfor<\/a>\u00a0established himself as the first male supermodel to take the fashion industry by storm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aged just 21, Upminster-born Sculfor became the darling of fashion designers across the world after winning\u00a0The Face of ’92 modelling competition in association with Select Model Management.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From Levis to Versace and Louis Vuitton, the British model had brands both high street and high end in thrall as his growing prominence inevitably took him across the globe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During his stint in the spotlight, he had a string of very high-profile relationships which only propelled him even further into the global glare.<\/p>\n

He enjoyed a whirlwind five-month romance with Jennifer Aniston<\/a> and famously dated Cameron Diaz<\/a> and Lisa Snowdon<\/a>, with fans taking an eager interest in his star-studded love life.<\/p>\n

He also enjoyed a fleeting romance with former Friends actress Jennifer Aniston (pictured in 2015)<\/p>\n

Diaz has since married Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, while Aniston and Snowdon have both had a string of high profile romance\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

But while his modelling career is a thing of the past, Sculfor – now 54 and married to nutritionist Federica Amati, with whom he raises two daughters – admits he’s still in touch with his famous exes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He told the latest edition of HELLO<\/a>: ‘We still message now and then.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Obviously we\u2019re all married and grown up now, so I just message like I message a lot of people – to say: “Hey, how are you doing? I hope everything\u2019s fine.” Friendly stuff.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

After succumbing to substance and alcohol dependency at the height of his career, the fully rehabilitated Sculfor is now a devoted mindset coach and uses his past struggles to help those still caught in the cycle of active addiction.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alongside his wife, the former model heads the Stride Foundation – a charity offering support and treatment to addicts – while running his own podcast, This is Powerful.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And Sculfor credits his wife – who he met on Valentine’s Day a decade ago and married in 2016 – for being a stabilising force in his life.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said: ‘She\u2019s brought a lot of light, fun and stability to my life, as well as a beautiful partnership. She\u2019s Italian, from Rome, and she\u2019s an academic but she\u2019s got this beautiful, natural, spiritual calm side to her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sculfor says he remains in touch with ex-girlfriend Diaz, who is now married to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden (pictured together in 2008)<\/p>\n

‘She\u2019s just naturally a loving person who radiates kindness.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

He added: ‘I know we\u2019re supposed to be together because we just work together. We have the same values, and we try and be good parents.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Feds is academic and smart, so the schooling is left to her. I do a lot of adventure stuff with the girls.’\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sculfor was left suicidal as a result of his addiction struggle and spent six months at the Priory rehabilitation centre, known for treating celebrities including Kate Moss, Lily Allen and Robbie Williams.<\/p>\n

Now sober, he lives a quiet life in East London with Federica and their two daughters aged four and seven.<\/p>\n

Speaking on a new episode of his podcast, This is Powerful, Sculfor told how becoming a father saved him from his spiral into depression because it gave him ‘purpose’.<\/p>\n

‘They keep me in check. It’s given me a purpose. I wanted to have a family when I was a young man, and then I decided I didn’t want to have a family, and I’m really glad I waited,’ he explained.<\/p>\n

‘My first daughter was born when I was 47 and I’m really grateful for the journey I’ve had. It allowed me, when I was single, to really work on myself and discover myself and what I need and what works and doesn’t work.<\/p>\n

‘Being a father has actually infused me with real purpose. You don’t have time to think about yourself when you’ve got kids because they’re the priority: they need to eat, they need to get up, they need to get dressed for school. To be honest, I find it my saviour.’<\/p>\n

But it has not been an easy journey for Sculfor as he admitted that he did suffer an unexpected bout of ‘darkness’ when his second child was born.<\/p>\n

‘I had a bit of a dark moment’, he confessed. ‘We were in the hospital, we drove her home, and I remember looking out the back window and I held her.<\/p>\n
