{"id":742019,"date":"2026-02-04T15:37:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T15:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/742019\/"},"modified":"2026-02-04T15:37:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T15:37:11","slug":"liverpool-womens-hospital-transfer-critical-care-patients-to-the-royal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/742019\/","title":{"rendered":"Liverpool Women&#8217;s Hospital transfer critical care patients to The Royal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00a0proposal to transfer a\u00a0number of critical cases from Liverpool Women\u2019s\u00a0Hospital\u00a0to the\u00a0Royal Liverpool University Hospital\u00a0has now been agreed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This was decided following a meeting\u00a0last Thursday\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Board\u00a0of NHS Cheshire and\u00a0Merseyside, who say this will improve the safety of maternity services.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This, they\u00a0say, is because there is more access to specialist medical treatment available\u00a0for high-risk patients.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There have been concerns from the campaign group \u2018Save Liverpool Women\u2019s Hospital\u2019 however, who feel that this may be the first step towards a complete transferal of the Women\u2019s Hospital as this was something that was proposed in 2016. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-35065 lazyload\" alt=\"Protesters for Save Liverpool Women's Hospital holding a banner.
