(KJCT) \u2014 A shelter in place has been lifted in Grand Junction after police assisted with a mental health crisis Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The shelter in place was implemented around 23rd Road and G Road, where there was a heavy police presence in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Grand Junction Police Department said the shelter in place was implemented while it helped the Colorado State Patrol contact someone experiencing a mental health crisis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 KJCT.
